If you are visiting Ermelo during your holiday or during a business meeting. Of course, you can also go out and discover Ermelo on your own.

But perhaps you are considering using a local guide.

My name is Reinier and I'm born in 1976 in Ermelo, and raised up here and never left our beatiful village. Since 2005 i've been active as a local guide. As a result, I have a huge source of knowledge about our beautiful vilage and surrounding nature. Ermelo has a rich history that goes back to the early prehistory. Many burial mounds and archeological find bear the witness to this. Also we have remains of 2 still visible Roman Mars camps from 80-100 and 170-180 AD. And all of this in a landscape that was once formed in the Ice ages.

In short terms, ther is much to see and tell about how people have lived here trough out the centuries. How we have exhausted the Veluwe with iron minning and production. And also how we partly saved it trough forestry...

I offer my services as a guide per hour. Depending on your wishes and the number of people you are taking part with. We will agree on a price in advance.
